An all too brief sunny start to the day, revealed the
Red Admiral flying and perching on the west Hebe bushes in the back garden. Sadly, the sky was shrouded by dark clouds all day, turning to steady rain late afternoon and evening and I watched a busy
Chiff- Chaff hunting for insects probably sheltering from the rain under the leaves of the middle back tree.
From 12.30- 12.45 (after midnight on Saturday) a Tawny Owl could be heard wailing/ moaning call from the direction of Fallowfields.
